Poetry

Don't stand too long at the window,
Peeping into other people's lives on the time line
Where perfect moments are hung out like Sunday best clothes to dry
While the dirty little rags safely hide
Skeletons rattling behind closed doors
Don't compare your self too much
You aren't lacking
You aren't behind
You aren't boring
Don't stare at your screen with too much envy,
If you spend too much time looking outside,
You will miss the joy of inside
There is so much magic here.
Here's a kind of daring
Daring to be openly sad,
Happily single,
Woman & tired,
Black & proud.
